OLGA BUSTOS
The beginning of color and creativity.
Olga has always been a lover of color and the creative. Her journey to makeup stardom began in the bustling city of Guadalajara, where her larger-than-life Mexican family embraced and nurtured her vivacity and creative energy. Olga’s natural gift for color, form, and visuality led her to the newsstands, where glossy magazines and feature editorials became her Bibles. She began to play, experiment, and practice with makeup’s colors and textures, and the art quickly became both her passion and her creative outlet.
The Journey.
It was Olga’s family and friends who became her models as she went about honing her craft, one careful contour at a time. At just 16, her desire to master the industry’s cutting-edge techniques took her to beauty school, where Mexico’s top professionals shaped her foundational knowledge and encouraged her to innovate, invent, and explore. Before long, the up-and-coming makeup guru was the go-to stylist for her family’s Quiceaneras, graduation parties, and weddings, weddings, weddings!
Olga is a dreamer and a nomad at heart. Now technically trained, she packed her bags and followed her heart to Los Cabos, where she made her home in the late nineties. Working a standard nine to five, Olga never waivered from her true passion, and when her calling came (think wise words from friends and coworkers aligning with the universe’s plans!), she embarked on the journey that was building her very own, true-to-self brand.
The Present.
In the past two decades, Olga has established herself as an industry leader, bringing her own brand of beauty, self-love, and balance to brides from Los Cabos, Tulum, and Punta Mita, to New York, Spain, and Canada. Olga is fierce, vibrant, and compassionate. She loves people, loves love, and understands how much we all want to feel beautiful. Her motto? Feel gorgeous in your own skin, live life to the fullest, and love those in your orbit.
Olga believes balance is the key to success. Her philosophy is yin and yang, and she marries her love of making people beautiful with her passion for the sea, the sand, and Mother Nature. Olga is an Earth lover. Outside of the studio, you’ll find her with her toes in the sand, surfing Cabo’s breaks, or traveling the world for inspiration. She’s found creative stimulation in the busy streets of New York and divine inspiration in the vivid landscapes of the Mediterranean, all of which she brings right back to her personal slice of paradise, Los Cabos.
Back to makeup! Olga is an expert in facial contouring, design, and symmetry. She prides herself on taking the time to understand each client’s individual needs, uniting their inner beauty and physical form through the art of makeup. Olga transforms and has a unique ability to enhance and optimize features. Above all else, she is living proof that work stops being work when you love what you do.
